Dig into home-style Alaskan cuisine at the Mountaineer Grill & Bar or join a convivial group for coffee, hot beverages, pastries, and a variety of delicious snacks at the Perky Moose Espresso. TERMS & CONDITIONS

CANCELLATION-You will receive a full refund for cancellations made up to 90 days prior to trip departure. Cancellations from 89 to 76 days prior to departure will be subject to a $300 per person administrative fee. The withheld administrative fee may be applied to a future AHI Travel program that will operate in the current calendar year or year following cancellation. The credit will be applied to the final billing and may not be used as part of the initial deposit. It is non-transferable and is not valid toward the purchase of an AHI Cruises independent cruise. Cancellations from 75 days to 60 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire cost of the trip per person; 59-30 days, 50% of the trip cost per person; cancellations from 29 days up to the time of departure will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.

  • day 1

    in Transit/Anchorage, Alaska

    After arriving in Anchorage, travel with your representative to the Hilton Anchorage. Get to know your accommodations and start exploring the neighborhood around your hotel. You may wish to visit one of Anchorage’s 50 breweries for a taste of local craft beer or slip into one of the city’s many coffee shops.

  • day 2

    Anchorage, Alaska

    Begin the day with a thoughtful lecture about Alaska’s geography and history. Then join your group for a walk through Anchorage’s historic downtown, where country cosmopolitan and rugged wild co-exist in beautiful harmony. Stop at the Anchorage Museum to gain insight into 10,000 years of storied history during a guided tour.

    Anchorage | Talkeetna | Denali

    At the confluence of the Susitna, Talkeetna and Chulitna rivers sits Talkeetna, a welcoming community with lively eateries, art galleries and colorful storefronts. After exploring at your leisure, sit down to a hearty lunch at a traditional roadhouse and listen to a local who recounts the history of Alaska’s roadhouses. Travel on to Denali National Park, check in to Denali Bluff’s Hotel and use the remainder of the day to start your exploration of this stunning region.

    Denali National Park

    Embark on a thrilling tour of Alaska’s most famous national park. You’ll be joined by a certified naturalist as you travel deep into this vast, untamed wilderness, home to bear, moose, wolves, caribou and Dall sheep. This once-in-a-lifetime wilderness expedition is sure to be a memorable event! Later, a local mountain climber and naturalist shares the history and unique geography of this storied region.

    Denali | Anchorage

    Delve into the fascinating history of dog sledding, Alaska’s state sport, while visiting a working kennel. Meet the kennel’s cuddly residents and learn about the care of these “athletes.” Continue to the Denali Rail Depot to start your deluxe rail journey back to Anchorage. Your glass-domed car offers unimpeded views of the surroundings, the perfect way to indulge in Alaska’s scenic grandeur!

  • day 6

    Anchorage | Whittier

    Today’s journey takes us to the coastal community of Whittier for a scenic cruise of Prince William Sound. Thrill to views of glaciers, icebergs and picturesque shores. Breathe in fresh, cool air while watching for whales, sea otters and harbor seals, as well as a variety of birdlife. The afternoon is at leisure in Anchorage, the perfect time to embrace the city’s thriving food scene.

    Anchorage | Matanuska-Susitna Valley

    Our excursion to “Mat-Su” begins with a visit to the one-room Palmer Visitor Center, an engaging museum that offers background into the region’s Ahtna Athabascan natives and other fascinating local facts. Continue to a family-owned, 200-acre Reindeer Farm, followed by a visit to a local farm for lunch. Back in Anchorage, visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center before capping off the day with a Farewell Dinner.
