  • day 1&2

    Depart the U.S./Dubrovnik, Croatia

    Arrive in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where an AHI Travel representative will meet you to travel to the pier and board your ship. Become familiar with your ship’s amenities. Tonight, get to know your fellow travelers at a Welcome Reception and Dinner.

    Dubrovnik | Korčula

    Dubrovnik, the darling of the Adriatic, shimmers like a jewel. Its quaint harbor is accented by tangerine-hued roofs and a stretch of cerulean sea. You’re sure to have many reflective moments in this waterside enclave as you witness its Franciscan Monastery, Sponza Palace, Rector’s Palace and Baroque cathedral! This afternoon, begin cruising along the stunning Dalmatian coast, a landscape of dramatic limestone cliffs, on your way to Korčula to see its stunning old town, cobbled lanes and enduring architecture.

    Hvar| Split

    Sunny Hvar will delight all of your senses! Home to a Renaissance cathedral and an ancient community theater, Hvar also boasts a welcoming community and relaxing vibe. Enjoy a stop at a 17th-century Benedictine convent that is dedicated to the island’s storied tradition of agave lace. Continue today’s discoveries within the courtyards and chambers of Split’s Diocletian’s Palace. You will witness the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, the Golden Gate and the Peristyle along the way.

    Trogir | Šibenik

    Discover Trogir, and fall under the spell of one of Europe’s best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns. Trogir’s Cathedral of St. Lawrence, intricate Cipiko Palace and 15th-century Fortress Kamerlengo are amazing examples of the region’s lauded architecture. After lunch, continue to Šibenik. Here, choose between 1) an opportunity to uncover the architecture of Šibenik while visiting the lauded Cathedral of St. James, or 2) a visit to Krka National Park to explore waterfalls, walking paths and more! Pick an excursion to suit your interests!

    Zadar

    Grab your sun hat for a beautiful morning of sailing to Zadar, a storied university town with an impressive Roman Forum and timeless church. Witness the village’s modern attractions at its waterfront promenade, including the sea organ, a musical art installation and the Monument to the Sun. During your outing, pause to taste some unique Maraschino cherry liquor and other locally made sweets.

    Zadar | Rab Island

    Begin the day at Rab Island. Gaze at its medieval walls and ancient stone lanes, bell towers and pretty squares. Spy local artists painting in outdoor settings and taste Rapska torta, or Rab cake. Learn the legend behind this famous pastry.  The ship overnights here.

  • day 8

    Rab Island | Krk Island | Opatija

    Depart Rab Island on your way to Opatija. En route, stop in at Krk Island, Croatia’s largest island, which sits in the middle of Kvarner Bay. Enjoy lunch on the ship while sailing to Opatija. Raise a toast to your sailing adventure at a Farewell Reception and Dinner on board the ship.

    Opatija | Plitvice National Park | Zagreb

    After breakfast, disembark the ship in Opatija. Head inland, stopping at Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that showcases crystal lakes, shimmering cascades and an enchanting forest. Take in the sights of this whimsical world on its well-marked paths and spy some of the region’s endemic species. Continue your journey to the capital city of Zagreb and check in to the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel.

    Zagreb

    The day is free to make your own discoveries in Zagreb, or join the Elective Activity to the “Croatian Countryside.” If you choose to stay in Zagreb, perhaps visit a buzzing market to sample honeys, fresh breads and other locally made goods. Or, visit a museum. Zagreb’s top-notch museums are insightful and full of history! Gather for a celebratory Farewell Reception and Dinner tonight.

    Zagreb

    Broaden your knowledge about Croatia’s fascinating and complex history; then set off to discover Zagreb’s many treasures. Tucked between the sparkling Sava River and the forested slopes of Mount Medvednica, this metropolis wows visitors with distinctive architecture, lively squares, a booming food culture and colorful murals. Take in the sights of St. Mark’s Church in the beautifully preserved Upper Town and stroll through Mirogoj Cemetery, designed by architect Hermann Bollé. Gather for a celebratory Farewell Reception and Dinner tonight.
