  • day 1 & 2

    Depart Home City/Barcelona, Spain/ Embark Ship

    Depart your home city for Barcelona, Spain. Arrive in Barcelona and collect your luggage.
    From there, embark on the deluxe World Traveller, which departs Barcelona later this afternoon. Attend a briefing and lifeboat drill. Enjoy dinner on board as you cruise for Valencia.

    Valencia

    Arrive at sun-kissed Valencia, founded as a Roman colony amidst a fertile plain of orange groves. Valencia is well known for its beaches, unique art and historic old town. Set off on your chosen excursion. Visit a market to shop for ingredients for a chef-led paella cooking class or discover Valencia’s landmarks, including the UNESCO-designated La Lonja de Seda. Return to the ship for lunch or stay in town for a tasty meal on your own. After, set off for an afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a Captain’s Welcome Reception and Dinner.

    Day at Sea

    Spend today cruising and enjoying the ship’s amenities. Gain unique insights during expert lectures, grab a spot on deck to search for wildlife or catch up with new friends.

    Málaga/Granada

    Following breakfast, disembark in Málaga. Set out to discover this lively, culture-rich city full of historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods and stunning sea views. Founded by the Phoenicians over 2,800 years ago, Malaga is one of Europe’s oldest cities. Over time, it was shaped by Romans, Moors and Christians, each leaving their mark. Witness Málaga’s cathedral, the historic market hall and the Roman Theater, built by Emperor Caesar Augustus. You may choose to have dinner on board or stay in town to find delicious Spanish gastronomy and Andalusian cuisine on your own.

    Gibraltar

    Cruise into Gibraltar to visit the Rock of Gibraltar. Begin at the Trinity Run Lighthouse and walk up the summit of the Rock of Gibraltar, known as the “Top of the Rock.” From this towering limestone formation, enjoy panoramic views and see the Pillars of Hercules, ancient landmarks that were once believed to mark the edge of the known world in classical antiquity. the garrison from attacks.     The ancient port of Tangier greets you this morning. Continue your drive to the nearby St. Michael’s Cave. Here, be delighted by the world-famous Barbary Apes. Observe the playful, curious creatures who roam freely around the Rock of Gibraltar and are Europe’s only wild monkeys. Conclude your day at the Siege Tunnels, carved into the Rock during the Great Siege of Gibraltar to house artillery and protect Siege Tunnel window, Rock of Gibraltar With roots stretching back over 2,500 years, Tangier has been shaped by Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Portuguese and French. Legendary figures like Paul Bowles, Tennessee Williams and Henri Matisse were inspired by Tangier’s atmosphere of intrigue and exoticism. Venture out to admire panoramic views at the 18th-century Kasbah of Tangier before visiting Grand Socco Square and the Old Jewish Quarter. Enter the souks to see artisans at work and learn about Moroccan weaving and spices. See the Tangier-American Legation Museum, a historic landmark, museum and cultural center that celebrates Moroccan-American history. Return to the ship for lunch.

    Seville, Spain

    Arrive in Seville, where timeless Moorish palaces, Renaissance splendor, winding streets and vivid cultural rhythms converge in an unforgettable tapestry. Disembark for an excursion to the magnificent Cathedral of Seville, the world’s largest Gothic building and home to Christopher Columbus’ tomb. Return to the ship for lunch or spend time at leisure as you explore Seville’s hidden corners and charm at your own pace. Stretch out and do as the locals do: relax at a café and people-watch with a glass of Vino de Naranja, a well-known drink among Sevillanos.

    Portimão, Portugal/Lagos

    After arriving in Portimão, disembark for a tour of Lagos, one of the Algarve’s most stunning coastal towns and a former Age of Discovery port. Begin at the statue of Infante Dom Henrique — a monument to Prince Henry the Navigator — and the intricately carved Church of San Antonio. Along the way, learn about the history of slavery in Lagos during the 15th century while visiting the Mercado de Escravos, the site of the first slave market in Europe. This sobering landmark, now a museum, tells the story of the African men and women who were brought to Portugal against their will. Later tonight, gather for a Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner. Raise a glass to your unforgettable journey and the memories you made!
