o Cancellation received up to 121 days prior to trip departure will incur a $500 per person administrative fee.
o Cancellation received 120 to 91 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
o Cancellation received 90-61 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
o Cancellation received 60-31 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 75% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
o Cancellation received 30 days prior to departure to the time of departure (or no show) will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.

ITINERARY

  • day 1 & 2

    Depart gateway city | In transit | Amsterdam, Netherlands

    Depart your home city and arrive in Amsterdam the following day. Your AHI Travel representative will join you for a transfer to the pier to embark on the first-class river ship. After settling in, board a canal boat for a delightful cruise to marvel at the colorful Dutch houses, historic bridges, parks and architectural gems lining the city’s iconic canals.

  • day 3

    Amsterdam | Personalize Your Journey

    Start the day with a discussion on the state of affairs in Holland. Then choose between 1) a tour of the Rijksmuseum, home to masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer and other renowned artists, 2) a guided bike tour of the scenic Waterland, or 3) a walking tour of the Herengracht, Amsterdam’s canal district. Later, gather with your shipmates for a convivial Welcome Reception and Dinner.

    Cologne, Germany

    Arrive in Cologne and set out on a walking tour along cobblestone streets in the town’s medieval quarter, admiring the colorful Patrician houses. Then, visit the 12th-century Kölner Dom, one of the largest Gothic structures in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Depart Cologne this afternoon and take in the scenery along the Rhine as you continue to Koblenz.

    Koblenz | Personalize Your Journey

    Today, visit Koblenz, situated at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. Choose between (1) a walking tour of Koblenz, passing by the onion-domed Liebfrauenkirche, the Alte Burg and the iconic German Corner, or (2) a scenic cable car ride up to visit the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, perched on a rocky outcrop with spectacular views of the Rhine Valley. Back on board, cruise along the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, passing by the legendary Loreley Rock.

    Miltenberg

    Experience a late-morning Frühschoppen, the German tradition of drinking beer accompanied by pretzels, sausages and mustards! Arrive in medieval Miltenberg for a guided walk through the romantic market square. Admire half-timbered houses and the 16th-century octagonal red sandstone fountain, passing notable sites, including Germany’s oldest inn, the Riesen. Conclude with a visit to a local wine shop for a tasting in its 15th-century, vaulted cellar. The ship cruises along the scenic Main River this evening towards Würzburg.

    Würzburg | Personalize Your Journey

    Be inspired in Würzburg, a Franconian gem known for its magnificent baroque and rococo architecture. Choose from (1) a visit to the majestic, 18th-century Würzburg Residenz, plus a guided walk in the historic city center to see St. Kilian’s Cathedral, the Neumünslerkirche and more, or (2) a picturesque journey on the Romantic Road, passing charming Franconian villages, terraced vineyards and rolling hills, including Rothenburg ob der Tauber, known for the Altstadt surrounded by 15th-century medieval walls.

    The UNESCO-listed village of Bamberg has many treasures to share! Choose from (1) a walking tour that highlights the city’s Gothic, baroque and rococo architecture, including the famous Neptune statue, the Obere Brücke’s grand archway and red-roofed fishermen’s houses, or (2) a culinary stroll with visits to a local bakery, butcher shop, deli and candy store, sampling Franconian foods along the way. Begin cruising through the Rhine, Main and Danube canals this evening.

    Regensburg is one of Germany’s oldest cities, renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and cultural heritage. On a guided walk in the old town, see the 12th-century Stone Bridge and the Old Town Hall. Admire the stunning stained-glass windows, impressive twin spire towers and Gothic architecture of the 13th-century St. Peter’s Cathedral. Visit the Thurn und Taxi Palace to admire its aristocratic grandeur. Later, learn about the creation and history of the Main-Danube Canal.

    Passau

    Passau is beautifully situated at the confluence of the Danube, Ilz and Inn rivers. On a guided walk, see highlights of this romantic city. Stroll through the elegant Residezplatz square with its beautiful baroque fountain and see the Gothic Town Hall, the Old and New Residences of the Prince-Bishops, and the Niedernburg Abbey. Visit the 15th-century St. Stephen’s Cathedral, housing the world’s largest cathedral organ with nearly 18,000 pipes. Later, cruise through the Danube Loop.

    Melk, Austria | Dürnstein | Personalize Your Journey

    Stop in Melk this morning to visit Austria’s extraordinary UNESCO-inscribed Benedictine Melk Abbey. Then cruise to Dürnstein, a gem of the Wachau Valley and choose from (1) a walking tour of the enchanting old town, including a stop inside the iconic blue and white Stift Dürnstein, or (2) a scenic bike ride through stunning landscapes along the Danube Cycle Path, with a refreshment stop, or (3) a visit to a Wachau Valley winery with tastings from its cellar.
