  • day 1 & 2

    Home City/Rome, Italy/Embark

    Arrive at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport.

    Later this afternoon, embark World Traveller. Settle into your suite or stateroom, explore the ship a bit and attend a y briefing and lifeboat drill. Join your fellow travelers for dinner aboard the ship this evening as we begin cruising for Livorno.

  • day 3

    Livorno for Florence/Lucca/Pisa

    Savor breakfast on board this morning as the ship arrives in Livorno, where you will disembark for your choice of one of two full-day excursions in either Florence or Lucca, with lunch included.

    Traveler’s Choice | Choose ONE of the following included excursions.

    • Florence. Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Centre of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to masterpieces of unparalleled art, architecture and literature, on a walking tour of the historic city center. Admire Filippo Brunelleschi’s iconic dome on the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, known as the Florence Duomo, known for Brunelleschi’s Dome — completed in 1436, with Gothic and Renaissance elements. In front of the cathedral, marvel at Lorenzo Ghiberti’s gilded bronze‑cast “Gates of Paradise” — created for the Baptistery of San Giovanni by Lorenzo Ghiberti, it depicts biblical themes in stunning detail. Witness the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s oldest bridge dating to 1345, with medieval stone arches and stunning views of the Arno River; and Piazza della Signoria, the center of political power since medieval times. During the excursion, you will also visit the Galleria dell’Accademia to view Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the legendary 17-foot tall statue of David. Cap off your excursion with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. (Active).
    • Lucca & Villa Reale di Marlia. The 16th-century walled city of Lucca is rich in Renaissance history, culture and exquisite architecture. Discover Lucca on a walking tour of the city center, encircled by imposing fortress walls and towers. Walk through the lively Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, an oval-shaped square built on the remains of a Roman amphitheater. As you stroll, take note of the stunning architecture all around, such as the Romanesque-style Duomo di San Martino, Lucca Cathedral; the magnificent San Michele in Foro Romanesque church; and the Torre delle Ore clock tower with a working 18th-century clock mechanism. Stop to visit the birthplace and museum of Italian composer Giacomo Puccini to view his piano, handwritten scores and personal items. Take a short drive from Lucca to tour the stunning historic estate of Villa Reale di Marlia and its gardens. The baroque palace boasts lavish interiors showcasing frescoes, chandeliers and antique furnishings from the Napoleonic era, and the magnificent gardens feature a breathtaking mix of Italian, English and baroque-style gardens. Cap off your excursion with a Tuscan farm-to-table lunch at Montecarlo Farm. (Moderate)
    • Pisa Afternoon Excursion. After a relaxing morning and lunch on board the ship, set out for an afternoon excursion to Pisa to discover the magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles —a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its extraordinary beauty and rich history. This iconic square is home to four remarkable examples of medieval architecture: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto Monumentale, and the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. While you won’t be entering the Leaning Tower, you’ll learn about its fascinating history and unique structure before enjoying guided tours of the Cathedral and Baptistery. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore the Camposanto Monumentale on your own or treat yourself to a visit to a local gelateria. (Moderate)

    Return to the ship in Livorno and enjoy dinner on board this evening.

    Porto Venere/ Cinque Terre

    Wake this morning to extraordinary views as the ship arrives in the medieval town of Porto Venere. After breakfast, disembark the ship for a private boat cruise to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Cinque Terre, dating to the 10th century.

    Approaching Cinque Terre from the water is an unforgettable experience. Its five villages appear like vibrant jewels set into the rugged cliffs of the Ligurian coastline, with clusters of colorful buildings and houses clinging to the dramatic cliffsides overlooking the Ligurian Sea. Above, green terrace vineyards are carved into the hills, and ancient footpaths and staircases zigzag up the cliffs connecting the homes and vineyards. You’ll visit two of the storied villages today. Vernazza is a picturesque village with colorful houses hugging a small natural harbor and postcard-worthy views from its rugged coastline. Monterosso is the largest village with the region’s only sandy beach and is notable for its fortified old town and the remains of Fieschi Castle. Stroll the hilly, cobblestone streets of the villages to soak up the enchanting ambience and enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace and peruse the eclectic shops and cafes. (Active)

    You can return to the ship for lunch or remain in Porto Venere for lunch on your own and have extra time to enjoy the coastal scenery.

    Join your fellow passengers for the Captain’s Welcome Reception this evening, followed by dinner on board the ship.

    Bonifacio, France

    Enjoy breakfast on board this morning as the ship arrives in Bonifacio on the French island of Corsica, where you will disembark for an excursion.

    Bonifacio Old Town Tram & Walking Tour. Your discovery of this dramatically situated medieval town begins with a tram ride from the harbor to the Haute Ville, or upper town, and around the plateau along the cliffs to enjoy panoramic views. You will then stroll through Bonifacio’s 9th-century citadel, perched high on a limestone promontory, to see such historic landmarks as Place Bir Hakeim, St. Jean Baptiste church and Le Grain de Sable — a weathered rock formation that appears to collapse into the sea. Savor the splendor of the Jardin des Vestiges and see where Napoleon stayed in 1793. You will have some free time in Bonifacio before taking the tram back to the port and returning to the ship. (Moderate)

    Enjoy lunch on board and as the ship sails from Corsica. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax or enjoy the ship’s many amenities.

    Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy

    Enjoy breakfast on board this morning as the ship arrives in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.

    • Costa Smeralda Excursion. Set out on an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking Costa Smeralda, where charming villages, stunning landscapes, and hidden historical gems await. Your first stop is the Belvedere, a renowned viewpoint offering sweeping panoramic views of Sardinia’s northeastern coastline—perfect for capturing the beauty of this pristine region. Continue to the picturesque village of San Pantaleo, nestled in the hills of Costa Smeralda.     Sorrento/Pompeii

    Savor breakfast on board this morning as the ship arrives in Sorrento, an outpost of the ancient Roman Republic and the scenic gateway to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. This seaside town of rose‑flushed buildings was built into picturesque cliffs high above the Tyrrhenian Sea and, as the world’s limoncello capital, is abundant with fragrant lemon and orange groves.

    Pompeii Tour. Engulfed by the tephra of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., the ancient city of Pompeii was frozen in time for centuries. Excavated 17 centuries after petrification, the UNESCO-designated ruins intimately reveal Roman daily rituals during Emperor Titus’ reign. Take a panoramic drive to Pompeii where you will explore on foot to see the wealthy Vetti family estate, the extraordinary and earliest surviving stone amphitheater of the Roman world and the Temple of Jupiter. You will have the option to return to the ship for lunch or stay in Sorrento and find a local café for lunch on your own. Shuttle buses will provide transportation from the port to the Sorrento city center. (Active)

    Return to the ship for dinner on board this evening. Later tonight, you will be treated to a traditional tarantella performance with Neapolitan songs and dance. Tarantella translates to “dance of the spider.”

    Sorrento | Amalfi Coast | Positano

    This morning, after breakfast, you will disembark the ship for a morning excursion along the spectacular, storied Amalfi Coast to Positano.

    Amalfi Coast & Positano. Admire the natural splendor of this UNESCO World Heritage‑designated Mediterranean seascape on a panoramic drive through secluded villages and past opulent villas and sun‑drenched beaches. Stop in the iconic coastal village of Positano. Renowned for its colorful cliffside houses, crystal-clear waters and Mediterranean charm, the town cascades down the steep mountainside to the sea, creating stunning panoramic views at every turn. Its lively, narrow labyrinth of streets is dotted with vibrant bougainvillea and filled with charming cafés, boutique shops and art galleries. Enjoy a short orientation tour and free time to explore this traditional Italian village on the Amalfi Coast at your leisure. (Active)

    Naples/ Disembark ship/ Return to home city

    After breakfast, say farewell to Naples and your fellow passengers and disembark the ship.

    Transfer to Naples-Capodichino International Airport for your return flight home. Arrive in your home city and go through immigration and customs.
