Depart gateway city/Prague, Czech Republic
Depart from your home city and arrive at the Václav Havel Airport Prague, where a Travel representative will meet you and accompany you on your transfer to the first-class Cosmopolitan Hotel Prague for check-in. Settle into your room and meet and mingle with your fellow travelers for this evening’s Welcome Reception with canapés at the hotel.

Prague
After breakfast, join a discussion on the pivotal Velvet Revolution before setting out on a guided walk through Prague’s historic heart. Stroll the Old Town past colorful baroque and Gothic buildings and soaring cathedrals. Pause at the Astronomical Clock, installed in 1410, to witness the hourly Walk of the Apostles as 12 wooden figures appear in the clock’s windows, followed by chimes marking the hour.

Karlovy Vary | Český Krumlov | Prague | Embark the ship
Personalize your day in Prague with a choice of excursions: 1) discover the famed spa town of Karlovy Vary on a walking tour and ride a funicular to Friendship Hill for panoramic views, or 2) explore the storybook Český Krumlov to admire its Gothic, Renaissance and baroque architecture. After your tour, relish free time for lunch and exploration. Transfer to the first-class MS Elbe Princesse to embark on your cruise and enjoy this evening’s Welcome Reception and Dinner aboard the ship.

Cruise the Vltava River | Štěchovice
Cruise the scenic Vltava River through romantic Bohemian landscapes and past the Slapy Dam to Štěchovice. After lunch on board, disembark to visit the 13th-century Konopiště Castle, a French-influenced fortress that was once the Habsburgs’ hunting retreat. Admire the richly appointed interiors and Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s extraordinary collection of hunting trophies, medieval armor and weaponry. Return to the ship for dinner, then venture into Štěchovice’s to explore the inviting old market town at leisure.

Prague
Travel by motor coach from the ship to Prague. Prague Castle & St. Vitus Cathedral. This vast ancient castle complex has been the seat of Czech rulers since the ninth century. Take in the Castle Gallery’s impressive paintings and meander down 16th-century Golden Lane, lined with charming homes once occupied by the castle’s guards, goldsmiths and servants. See the old Royal Palace and step inside St. Vitus Cathedral, the castle’s crown jewel and once the coronation site for Czech kings and queens. A lunch on the castle grounds follows. Prague’s Historic Jewish Quarter. Explore Josefov on a guided walk and gain insight into Prague’s historic Jewish religious life. Visit key sites of the Prague National Jewish Museum, which includes the Old-New Synagogue and the Old Jewish Cemetery, where thousands of gravestones, some dating to the 15th century, are closely layered atop one another. Rejoin the ship in Prague for dinner on board. Free Time: Spend the evening on the ship or head into Prague with plans of your own.

Cruising | Kralupy | Mělník
Cruise this morning from Prague to Kralupy, and disembark for your castle excursion. Nelahozeves Castle. Discover the luxurious baroque-period lifestyle of a noble Bohemian family on a tour of this handsome Renaissance castle that houses a private collection of fine furniture and paintings by legendary artists. Return to the ship docked in Mělník, located at the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe rivers. Free Time: If you’d like, take a stroll through Mělník’s historic town square this evening.

Litoměřice | Mělník | Kralupy
This morning, travel to Litoměřice, one of Bohemia’s oldest towns, by motor coach. Litoměřice Walking Tour. This lovely town was built on the site of a Slavic fortress in the 10th century. See highlights including the Old Town Hall, the Romanesque St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the baroque Bishop’s Palace. AHI Connects | Czech Brewery Visit & Tasting. Learn about Czechia’s beer culture and try the delicate, slightly bitter Czech beers. Return to the ship in Mělník for lunch and a leisurely afternoon of cruising to Kralupy, where the ship moors overnight.
