  • CANCELLATION-All cancellations must be submitted in writing to AHI Travel.
    • Cancellation received up to 121 days prior to trip departure will incur a $500 per person administrative fee.
    • Cancellation received 120 to 91 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
    • Cancellation received 90-61 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
    • Cancellation received 60-31 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 75% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
    • Cancellation received 30 days prior to departure to the time of departure (or no show) will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.

  • day 1&2

    Depart gateway city | Ljubljana, Slovenia

    Arrive at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, where a Travel representative will travel with you to your hotel. Spend some time unpacking or head out to stretch your legs on a self-guided stroll through lovely Ljubljana. Later, gather with your fellow travelers to enjoy a Welcome Reception and Dinner.

  • day 3

    Ljubljana

    Ljubljana has many treats and colorful treasures to share! Head out on a walking tour, viewing the old town’s display of baroque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau architecture as well as the city’s many artsy bridges, including Dragon Bridge. See the cobblestone-paved main square, named after Slovenia’s national poet France Prešere and bordered by the pink Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. Later, cruise on the pretty Ljubljanica River, lined with weeping willows, outdoor cafes and pastel-hued buildings.

    Lake Bled | Ljubljana

    Bled’s cobalt-hued glacial lake and fairy-tale castle greet you upon arrival. Soak up a portrait of Alpine mountains and pine-swathed hills as you cruise to Bled Island, home to the historic Church of the Assumption of Mary. You may hear the clanging of church bells as visitors ring the wishing bell. Back on shore, taste homemade honey at a bee farm. With over 10,000 beekeepers in the country, Slovenia has been referred to as the “cradle of beekeeping.” After, head to Bled Castle perched on a summit over Bled village.

    Ptuj | Maribor | Ljubljana

    Journey through sunny hills and colorful meadows into northeastern Slovenia. Begin with a visit to Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town, before visiting Maribor. Here, see The Old Vine and step into the Maribor Cathedral, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. Cap off the excursion with a visit to a local winery and enjoy a tasting and lunch. This prominent wine region is steeped in centuries of viniculture and is known for producing high-quality red, white and sparkling wines.

    Postojna Cave | Piran | Rovinj, Croatia

    Venture out to Postojna Cave and ride a mini-train into an expansive karst cavern lit with chandeliers. Pass by stalactites, columns and other rock formations, and learn about the cave’s fascinating ecosystem which is home to 100 different species. Next, witness Predjama Castle, an 800-year-old Renaissance fortress built dramatically up a 400-foot cliff face. Following lunch, succumb to the allure of the Adriatic coast in Piran, a picturesque fishing village with cobblestone streets, a well-preserved medieval center and dramatic harbor views. Continue your journey and cross into Croatia to the splendid Istrian coast. Upon arrival in Rovinj, check in to the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj.

  • day 7

    Pula | Rovinj

    After breakfast, join an expert to gain an in-depth understanding of the age-old traditions that run deep on the Istrian coast. Then explore two favorite destinations of the Istrian peninsula: Pula and Rovinj. In Pula, visit the well-preserved Roman theater and a farmer’s market. Back in Rovinj, tour the enchanting old town, passing rainbow buildings, Venetian architecture, twisting narrow streets and the baroque St. Euphemia’s Basilica.

    Motovun | Groznjan | Rovinj

    Head into the hinterlands for a visit to medieval Motovun, perched on a hill overlooking the Mirna River. After a walking tour through the car-free narrow streets, enjoy lunch featuring Istrian gold, the truffle. Next, venture on to Grožnjan, famed as a musicians’ and artists’ village. Soak up the artistic vibe and charming stone houses. Gather with friends for dinner on your own this evening.

    Rovinj

    Head off to spend leisure time in Rovinj today or join our elective excursion. If you’re staying in Rovinj, perhaps rent a bike to explore one of the nearby parks or take the short boat journey to visit St. Katarina Island.

  • day 10

    Depart for Home City

    After breakfast, bid farewell to this beautiful region of Europe and head home.
