CANCELLATION–All cancellations must be submitted in writing to AHI Travel.
-Cancellation received up to 151 days prior to trip departure will incur a $500 per person administrative fee.
-Cancellation received 150 to 121 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
-Cancellation received 120-91 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
-Cancellation received 90-61 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 75% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
-Cancellation received 60 days prior to departure to the time of departure (or no show) will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.

  • day 1&2

    Turin, Italy

    After landing at Turin Caselle Airport, meet your Travel representative, who’ll be waiting to take you to the hotel. Later this evening, get acquainted with your fellow travelers at a Welcome Reception and Dinner.

  • day 3

    Turin

    This morning, a local expert delves into Piedmont’s history and the Risorgimento movement that led to the unification of Italy. Then, take in stately Turin, which boasts magnificent baroque architecture. See the iconic spire of Mole Antonelliana, grand churches and the imposing Roman city gate before sampling some of the fine artisanal chocolate for which Turin is famous at a historic café. Next, tour the opulent Royal Palace of Turin, a UNESCO-listed residence of the Royal House of Savoy, which boasts royal apartments and an impressive armory. Relax over lunch in town afterward.

    Alba | Grinzane Cavour | Barolo

    Venture off to the Langhe region’s verdant, rolling vineyards, home to two of Italy’s acclaimed wines, Barolo and Barbaresco, among others. Stroll in inviting Alba with your guide and learn more about its medieval towers and churches. Next, gaze over sweeping views of the Langhe’s splendid scenery at the 11th-century, hilltop Castle of Grinzane Cavour. In the Langhe town of Barolo, enjoy a tasting and lunch at the Marchesi di Barolo wine estate.

    Genoa | Sestri Levante

    Check out this morning and depart for Genoa. Once you arrive, begin with expansive city and port views from Spianata Castelletto. Afterward, admire the Renaissance palazzi along Via Garibaldi that once housed Genoa’s noble families. Walk down lively, winding streets to see landmarks like the Christopher Columbus House and the Genoa Cathedral with its striped façade. Later, visit the 14th-century Palazzo Ducale, the residence of the Doges who ruled the maritime Republic of Genoa. Continue to Sestri Levante and check in to the hotel.

    Sestri Levante

    This morning, learn about this region’s alluring history and culture from a local expert. Afterward, embark on a walking tour of this waterfront resort town nestled between two bays. Admire its architectural gems,including the many façades adorned with ornate trompe l’oeil. Today’s agenda also features a special demonstration by a local chef who shares recipes and tips for making two delicious regional favorites: authentic pesto alla genovese and focaccia.

    Porto Venere | Cinque Terre National Park

    Begin with a guided stroll in charming Porto Venere before journeying into stunning Cinque Terre National Park, famed for its pastel-hued towns perched on steep, rugged cliffs above the Ligurian Sea. Meander in gorgeous Manarola set on a rocky outcrop, then admire vistas of picture-perfect Corniglia and Vernazza from the water on a short boat ride. After lunch at a seaside trattoria in Vernazza, return to Sestri Levante by train.

    Santa Margherita | Portofino

    Today, savor the dazzling Italian Riviera, Liguria’s hilly coastline dotted with vibrant harbor towns and bobbing boats. Take a guided walk in scenic, easygoing Santa Margherita, then cruise to chic Portofino tucked in a cove. After free time there, enjoy lunch on your own in Santa Margherita. Return to Sestri Levante, and later this evening, gather for a Farewell Reception and Dinner with your group.

    Transfer to Genoa airport and depart for home

    After breakfast, bid farewell to your fellow travelers and head to the Genoa airport to start the journey home.
