- Cancellation received 90-61 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
- Cancellation received 60-31 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 75% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
- Cancellation received 30 days prior to departure to the time of departure (or no show) will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.

Fly to Havana, Cuba, and meet your AHI Travel representative to transfer to the Claxon Hotel, an independently owned boutique hotel in the heart of the vibrant neighborhood of El Vedado. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a festive Welcome Dinner at a local paladar, a privately owned and operated restaurant. Embrace the opportunity to meet and mingle with locals on your first night in Cuba!

Cuba awaits your discovery! Start the morning with an insightful lecture about the Cuban economy. Then discover the effervescence of Habana Viejo. See the four main squares: Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis and Plaza Vieja and talk with local vendors at a market. You’ll also enjoy an informative talk with women business owners at an independently owned clothing store. Later, join a local’s insight discussion about Cuban health care.

The romance of Cuba is best experienced in a vintage American convertible. Climb into one of these Cuban treasures to drive along Havana’s evocative Malecón, a 4.3-mile-long sea drive, and through the historic district. Then join an expert to tour the National Museum of Fine Arts, featuring Cuban artists from the 17th century to present day. Savor Cuban cuisine during lunch at a local paladar, followed by free time and dinner at your leisure this evening.

Enjoy an enlightening talk about the role of women in Cuban life. Next, visit the Sephardic Hebrew Center as well as a contemporary dance studio for a behind-the-scenes look into Cuba’s infectious dance scene. Meet a few of the studio’s talented dancers and learn about their experiences. This afternoon, see “Lookout Farm,” home of author Ernest Hemingway! Later, gather at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, a nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to Cuban artists, followed by a tour of the historic Hotel Nacional de Cuba and dinner at a paladar.

Delve into the cultural riches of Matanzas during panoramic coach and walking tours. Take in views from atop Cuba’s highest bridge, see notable sites around the city, including the neoclassical Sauto Theater and the historical French quarter. Walk through La Libertad Park and visit the preserved 19th-century Pharmaceutical Museum. Cap off your excursion with a lively performance by a local choir! Back in Havana, join Dr. Rosaida Ochoa for a thought provoking discussion about race and the Cuban Revolution, followed by dinner at a paladar.

Later, visit Casa Fuster and the Casa de la Cultura, dedicated to preserving Cuba’s art and heritage. Later, learn tango and salsa with some local dancers!

Weave through rich farmland blanketed with sugarcane on your way through rural Cuba.
