    Depart for Bali, Indonesia. Cross the international date line.

    Bali, Indonesia

    After arriving at the Denpasar Airport, meet your AHI Travel Representative and travel to the luxurious Belmond Puri Jimbaran. This lovely hotel features a stunning landscape filled with sweet-smelling blossoms! Kick off your journey tonight by joining your fellow travelers at a Welcome Reception.

    Bali

    Begin exploring the beauty of Bali. Start at a local village where we’ll visit a local school and engage with children and teachers. After, see day-to-day life at a housing compound, followed by a stroll through a nearby rice field. Here, learn about subak, a traditional irrigation system used for thousands of years. Then enjoy lunch and a special, invigorating foot massage.

    Bali

    After breakfast, visit Tampak Siring, a holy spring water temple used for ceremonies. Continue to the popular village of Ubud to visit the wonderful Agung Rai Museum of Art. This engaging museum is filled with informative exhibits. Also learn about a music ensemble called the gamelan and try your hand at playing a variety of musical instruments. You may wish to stay at the museum and explore more or head to a colorful local market.

    After breakfast in Bali, fly to Singapore. Upon arrival, transfer and check in to the Shangri-La Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

    Singapore

    After breakfast, learn about modern-day Singapore and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city’s hidden gems and key attractions, including the iconic Merlion statue — a nod to Singapore’s nautical past. Visit Thain Hock Keng, the country’s oldest Hokkien temple, and gain insight into three of the main cultures that have influenced Singaporean life while exploring Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam.

    Singapore’s Peranakan people are locally born of Chinese and Malay heritage. Encounter unique aspects of this culture while learning to make traditional foods at a family business, followed by a visit to a beadwork and embroidery workshop. Later today, enjoy a delightful excursion to Gardens by the Bay, Singapore’s landmark floral oasis. Stroll through spectacular floral features, vast conservatories, the Cloud Forest and the extraordinary Flower Dome.

    Singapore | Bangkok, Thailand

    Fly to Bangkok, Thailand. Upon arrival, enjoy an authentic lunch before checking in to the elegant Peninsula Bangkok. After a lecture about the history and culture of Thailand, embark on a special cruise along the Chao Phraya River. Relax aboard a converted rice barge and dig into a dinner of traditional and international dishes. Enjoy your first look at vibrant Bangkok!

    Discover more of effervescent Bangkok! Discuss Thailand’s history and culture, then enjoy an atmospheric cruise along Bangkok’s legendary Chao Phraya River. Witness the glories of the Grand Palace, sacred Emerald Buddha temple and 160-foot reclining Buddha statue, followed by lunch at the landmark Blue Elephant restaurant. Cap off the day by joining our Elective Activity to a Thai dance show.

    Ayutthaya

    Elegant pavilions and ornamental ponds await during a visit to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. And you’re in for an eye-opening adventure at the tremendous remains of Thailand’s ancient capital. Ayutthaya Historical Park offers a history that spans over four centuries. Walk the grounds, glimpsing the city’s past grandeur, from fabulous temples to timeworn Buddhas and towering wats. On your return to Bangkok, watch daily life unfold while cruising along the Chao Phraya River.

    Siem Reap, Cambodia

    Fly to Siem Reap, the gateway to the wondrous Angkor temples and a dynamic town with steadfastly kind locals and a thriving culinary landscape. Experience the city’s cultural scene while watching demonstrations by local artisans and admire its French Colonial architecture during a tuk-tuk tour. Tonight, join a local expert to learn about Angkor Archaeological Park, one of history’s lost civilizations.

    Siem Reap

    The morning rises over the ancient temple of Angkor Wat, exceptional for its artistry and scale. As you duck through stone-structured archways and admire dancing apsaras, you’ll be immersed in a world long forgotten. Later, test your culinary skills while making rice noodles with a local family and enjoy an entertaining night out at Phare, the Cambodian circus, a social enterprise that provides training to disadvantaged Cambodian youth.

  • day 14

    Siem Reap

    Journey further into history at the ancient city of Angkor Thom, home to the striking Bayon Temple with its 54 towers and carved stone faces. Stroll jungle-claimed paths to Ta Prohm, drowning in twisting roots, before continuing to the restored temple Thommanon. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner, accompanied by a classic Khmer show.

    Depart for your home city
