day 1
Boston, Massachusetts
You will arrive independently by mid-afternoon at The Langham, Boston, your hotel located downtown near Faneuil Hall and Boston Common. Afterwards, a private tour of the 17th-century Paul Revere House offers an introduction to Boston’s colonial history. We will explore the former home of the patriot and silversmith, the oldest remaining structure in downtown Boston, and learn about 18th-century family life and the story of his midnight ride on April 18, 1775. The evening begins with an after-hours private opening and welcome reception at the Kingston Gallery, one of the oldest artist-run cooperatives in New England. We will see the current contemporary art collection and meet with several of the gallery’s artists before enjoying dinner nearby

day 2
Boston / Cambridge / Boston
We will cross the Charles River to Cambridge for a special before-hours, curator-led visit to the Fogg Museum, the oldest of Harvard’s three art museums. The tour will include American artworks from the colonial period through the 19th century. The museum also houses Boston’s most important collection of works by Picasso, along with art by Van Gogh, Matisse, and Sargent.
From there, we will go to the Seaport District for a private, curator-led tour of the Institute of Contemporary Art, which includes the Barbara Lee Collection of Art by Women, with works by artists such as Louise Bourgeois and Yayoi Kusama. Following lunch, you may return to the hotel or explore sites along the Freedom Trail, such as Old North Church. The evening includes a backstage tour of Symphony Hall, home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, where you may meet performers and see the production preparations before enjoying a live concert. Dinner is at your leisure. -
day 3
Boston / Ipswich / Gloucester / Boston
A special guided visit to Castle Hill on the Crane Estate offers us a look into early-20th-century aristocratic life. We will explore the 59-room English country manor, its gardens, and the Grand Allée, a wide lawn rolling down to the sea. After a seafood lunch by the water, a private visit takes us to Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House, the summer home of interior design pioneer Henry Davis Sleeper (1878–1934). A National Historic Landmark overlooking Gloucester Harbor, the tour will include 26 of its 40 eclectic rooms. We will stay in Gloucester, the country’s oldest fishing port, for a traditional New England dinner at 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar.

Boston
Our day starts with a curator-led visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). We will see John Singleton Copley’s portraits, Paul Revere’s silver designs, the largest Monet collection outside Paris, Egyptian Old Kingdom artifacts, and one of Gilbert Stuart’s famous portraits of George Washington.
We will then visit the nearby Pucker Gallery for an inside look at its collections of Japanese and contemporary global art. Lunch is at leisure. Afterwards, we will return to The Langham for a traditional English afternoon tea. The evening concludes with a farewell dinner. -
day 5
Boston / Return
Before departing, a private tour takes you through the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, housed in a building designed to evoke a 15th-century Venetian palace. You will see prominent works by Rembrandt, Titian, Vermeer, and Monet, as well as Flemish tapestries and the skylit courtyard gardens. This afternoon, you will transfer from the museum to Logan Airport for your flight home.
