After landing at Helsinki Airport, meet your Travel representative, who’ll take you to Hotel U14 near the harbor. This afternoon, enjoy a short orientation stroll around the neighborhood with your Travel Director. Later, gather for a Welcome Reception and Dinner at the hotel.

Internationally renowned for its influential design scene, Finland’s dynamic capital city is packed with stunning modern and historic gems. On a guided scenic tour, admire the green-domed Helsinki Cathedral built in 1852 and the sleek, airy Oodi Library which opened in 2018. See the Temppeliaukion Church, better known as Rock Church, a subterranean house of worship. After lunch on your own, learn why the sauna experience is integral to Finnish culture. Then soak up some soothing steam at Löyly Sauna, and if you’re game, cool off with a bracing dip in the Baltic Sea!

Later this afternoon, you’re in charge as you drive a team of eager huskies across the snowdrifts on an exciting, fast-paced journey! A professional guide will provide training. After dinner tonight, relish a wonderful evening at the lodge’s Aurora Camp, where you’ll have the opportunity to see the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis (atmospheric conditions permitting). Stop for photos on your way to the camp by minibus, and enjoy a warm drink by the fire.

Reindeer herding, an important element of Sámi culture, dates to the Middle Ages. At a traditional reindeer farm owned by a Sámi family, ride through the forest to see reindeer up close, hear about daily life and savor a homemade lunch. After an afternoon at leisure and dinner, venture off on an invigorating snowshoe hike under a moonlit sky amid the stillness of the pristine forest and fjells. Follow your guide to the best spots for your chance to witness the dancing light of the Aurora Borealis. Finish with a toasty beverage by a fire and hear tales about the Northern Lights.

This morning, feel immersed in the wintery wilderness while zipping across powdery snowdrifts on a snowmobile ride! Pause for photos and a warm drink during your two-hour ride. A professional guide will offer instruction and accompany you. Then, pursue your own passions this afternoon. Maybe you’ll relax in the resort’s sauna or take advantage of cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals at a nominal fee for Village guests. The Village also offers many other optional experiences. Take a cross-country skiing lesson or travel by snowmobile to a secluded lake and try ice fishing. This evening, celebrate your wonderful Finnish adventure with your fellow travelers at a Farewell Dinner.

- Cancellation received 120 to 91 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
- Cancellation received 90-61 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
- Cancellation received 60-31 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 75% of the entire cost of the trip per person.
- Cancellation received 30 days prior to departure to the time of departure (or no show) will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.
